Patek Philippe traces its origins to Geneva in 1839, when Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek established Patek, Czapek & Cie. The company’s first manufacture was at 29 Quai des Bergues. After Jean Adrien Philippe succeeded Czapek, the business moved to 15 Quai des Bergues and was renamed Patek, Philippe & Cie. In 1853, as the firm grew, it moved into premises at 41 Rue du Rhône.
