The Laco Replika 55 A is a historically faithful reissue of the original 1940s observation watch, built in an oversized 55 mm format with straight lugs and a prominent onion crown. Its dark media-blasted stainless steel case, matte black Type A pilot dial, thermally blued steel hands, and luminous Superluminova C3 markers preserve the functional instrument-watch aesthetic of the era. Power comes from the hand-wound Laco 97 movement, based on the Swiss ETA 6497.1 and modified with central seconds, hacking seconds, Incabloc shock protection, swan-neck fine adjustment, and an individually engraved serial number. A double-domed sapphire crystal, antimagnetic protection, solid engraved case back, and traditional riveted brown calf leather pilot strap complete this authentic pilot’s watch.
