Franck Muller says the manufacture was founded in Geneva by Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes. On the founders page, the brand says Franck Muller studied at the Geneva School of Watch Making, became known for restoration work, and later began creating watches under his own name. The site also says he presented his first wristwatches in 1983, and that he met Vartan Sirmakes in 1991, leading to the development of the business into the Franck Muller brand and enterprise.
The brand’s story pages describe a series of world premieres from 1986 onward. The site lists a Tourbillon with jumping hours in 1986, a Tourbillon with Minute Repeater in 1987, and an inverted Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar with Minute Repeater in 1989. It also says Franck Muller created the Aeternitas Mega, which the site describes as the most complicated watch in the world, and in 2011 introduced the Giga Tourbillon, described there as the biggest tourbillon ever incorporated in a wristwatch.
The website documents collections such as Cintrée Curvex, Long Island, Master Square, Round, and Vanguard. Site navigation and collection pages also show lines including Crazy Hours, Secret Hours, Casablanca, Mariner, Master Banker, and Top.
Franck Muller says it is established in Genthod, near Geneva, at Watchland. The Watchland page says this is the same village where Franck Muller began his activity in 1983, and that a mansion built in 1905 was restored to become the headquarters. The site also says the group has several production sites in the Jura Arc whose components are delivered to Watchland for finishing and final assembly. A Franck Muller PDF on the site says the group runs 48 exclusive boutiques worldwide.
