About Bulgari

Bulgari was founded in Rome in 1884 by Sotirio Bulgari, a Greek silversmith. On the brand’s history pages, Bulgari says he came from Paramythia, Greece, and opened his first boutique on Via Sistina. The same history material identifies Via Sistina 85 as the boutique address.

Bulgari’s site also says the business expanded from that first shop to Via Condotti and other tourist destinations. Its history pages describe later generations of the Bulgari family as helping shift the business from silverwork toward high jewelry. On its Awarded Watches page, Bulgari says the Octo line set five world records, citing examples from Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic to Octo Finissimo Chrono GMT.

Watch collections documented on the site include Serpenti, Octo, Bvlgari Bvlgari, Bvlgari Aluminium, and Lvcea. The watch catalog also shows Octo Finissimo and Octo Roma within the Octo line, and it includes Serpenti Seduttori and Serpenti Tubogas models.

Bulgari’s origins are documented in Rome. Its manufacturing page states that its watches are made entirely in Switzerland. The site’s watch pages and collection pages continue to present those named lines within Bulgari’s watch offering.
