Blok Watch Company says it was started in 2019 by James and Neil after they could not find watches they wanted to buy for their children. On its About page, the company says the founders have a background in industrial design and set out to build a serious watch for kids. The same page says the project took almost three years to complete.
The site says Blok uses a 10 year life ETA movement, a 2 mm thick sapphire crystal, water resistance to 300+ feet, a left side screw down crown, and a rotating bezel that aligns the blocks with minutes to show time passing. Product pages for the Blok 33 describe a proprietary visual time management system with a rotating bezel divided into four timer blocks and a reworked dial. Product pages for the Blok 38 describe it as the brand's first grown up watch, with a fixed bezel dual time GMT display, sapphire crystal, lume, a steel core, and a movement from Swiss partner Ronda.
Collections shown on the site include Blok 31, Blok 33, Blok 38, BK Glow, Straps, Bundles, Blok Gear, and Watches. The Blok 33 is presented as the inaugural timepiece and, in its Glow version, as a re engineered sophomore edition. The site also lists bundle editions pairing BK33 and BK38 models, including Black and Navy, Fuchsia and Grey, Glow, and Discommon versions.
The site pages reviewed do not clearly identify a present day headquarters or base. The homepage and product pages present the concept as an analog watch for kids, while the BK38 is described for big kids or adults. Product pages also state that the Blok 33 comes with a universal run thru buckle strap designed to fit all wrist sizes.
